BlackBerry 6 to Point 100 Million Subscribers
Research in Motion (RIM) set an ambitious target to double the number of BlackBerry users with bringing the BlackBerry 6 operating system. At the Wireless Enterprise Symposium (WES) 2010 USA, President and Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis state that RIM currently has approximately 41 million BlackBerry user across the world and will reach 100 million subscribers.
Ambitious targets are not bullshit with the lure of new capabilities on the BlackBerry platform 6. Platform version will be released in the third quarter of 2010 was to present a new user interface. Core applications have been redesigned to provide a more comfortable experience in managing email, SMS messages, contacts, and so on and regulate the management of social networking and RSS feeds.
The BlackBerry 6 Browser also been able to open more than one web with the browsing tab like a desktop browser and other existing competitors such as Opera Mini and Safari. In fact, RIM provides WebKit, supporting application development package based on open source developers to provide an opportunity to enrich the browser-based applications.
RIM hopes target of 100 million subscribers in part be achieved with the support of the new BlackBerry 6.BlackBerry 6 also supported the sophisticated technology of its competitors. Such as touch sensors are more sensitive and responsive to pinch to zoom or magnification of the display screen by moving two fingers on its surface. BlackBerry touch screen also supports multi touch that recognizes more than one point of making it easier for users while typing on the screen or interact with more than one finger.
